Abstract

Farmers’ Terms of Trade (FTT) is the ratio of the index of prices received by farmers (It) and the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib).
FTT is an indicator to measure the farmers’ purchasing power parity in rural areas. FTT shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumption and production costs.
In January 2024, Jambi Province FTT was 142.21 or increased by 1.75 percent compared with that in December 2023. The increase in FTT was due to the increase in the index of prices received by farmers (It) at 1.97 percent, while the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib) increased at 0.22 percent.
The price index of household consumption (IKRT) in January 2024 increased by 0.19 percent, which mainly was due to the increase in the indexes of Transportation group.
Jambi Province, Agriculture’s Terms of Trade (NTUP) was 143.89 in January 2024 or increased by 1.61 percent compared with December 2023.

The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) for Jambi Province in September 2024 was 160.40 or an increase of 1.91 percent, while the Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for Jambi Province was 162.50.

The Jambi Province Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in April 2024 increased by 2.49 percent, while the Jambi Province Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) increased by 2.77 percent.

The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) for Jambi Province in March 2024 was 149.49 or an increase of 2.88 percent, while the Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) was 153.70 or an increase of 3.99 percent.

The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) for Jambi Province in May 2024 was 151.74, while the Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for Jambi Province was 156.41 or decreased by 0.98 percent.
