Abstract

  • The Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) of Jambi Province in May 2021 was 124.10, an increase of 1.47 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The increase in NTP was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) increased by 1.41 percent while the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) decreased by 0.06 percent.
  • In May 2021, the NTP of Jambi Province for each sub-sector was recorded at 96.39 for the Food Crops (NTPP) sub-sector; 96.14 for the Horticulture sub-sector (NTPH); 131.47 for the People's Plantation Plants (NTPR) sub-sector; 102.03 for the Livestock sub-sector (NTPT); and 111.37 for the Fisheries sub-sector (NTNP) consisting of Capture Fisheries (NTN) of 114.66 and Aquaculture (NTPi) of 100.36.
  • The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of Jambi Province in May 2021 was 125.32, an increase of 1.19 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
  • Rural inflation in Jambi Province was recorded at minus 0.13 percent. Inflation occurred in six groups of household consumption, namely the Clothing and Footwear group; Housing, Water, Electricity and Household Fuel group; Group of Equipment, Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance; Recreation, Sports, and Culture groups; Food and Beverage/Restaurant Provision group; and the Personal Care and Other Services group. Deflation occurred in the Food, Beverage and Tobacco group; Health group; Transportation group; and the Information, Communication and Financial Services group. Meanwhile, the Education group did not change the index.
