Abstract

In February 2020, Jambi City experienced 0.75 percent inflation and Muara Bungo inflation 0.36 percent. Jambi City Consumer Price Index (CPI) is 104.67 and Muara Bungo City Consumer Price Index (CPI) is 104.68.
Inflation in the city of Jambi occurred in 9 (nine) expenditure groups. While inflation in Muara Bungo City occurred in 7 (seven) groups of goods and services expenditure due to an increase in index.
The inflation rate for calendar year 1 and "year on year" 2 Jambi City this month amounted to 1.57 percent and 3.58 percent, respectively. While the inflation rate of the calendar year and "year on year" Kota Muara Bungo this month was 1.10 percent and 3.56 percent, respectively.
Of the 24 cities in Sumatra that calculate CPI, 16 (sixteen) cities experienced inflation and 8 (eight) cities deflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra occurred in Jambi City by 0.75 percent and the lowest in Bengkulu City by 0.09 percent. Of the 90 cities that calculate CPI in Indonesia, 73 (seventy three) cities experience inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Sintang City by 1.21 percent and the lowest in Pare-Pare City by 0.02 percent.
