Abstract

  • The economy of Jambi Province based on the amount of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on the prevailing prices in quarter IV-2019 reached Rp56 281.9 billion and the Per capita GRDP reached Rp60.07 Million or US $ 4 246.
  • Jambi Province economy in the fourth quarter of 2019 grew 3.59 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, growth was driven by almost all business fields, with the highest growth being achieved by Business Fields, namely Health Services and Social Activities which grew 9.43 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the PK-RT Component, which grew by 4.97 percent.
  • The economy of Jambi Province in the fourth quarter of 2019 increased by 2.38 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, Information and Communication occupy the highest growth with a percentage of 7.93 percent. While in terms of expenditure achieved by the Government Expenditure Component (PK-P) which increased significantly by 31.69 percent.
  • The economy of Jambi Province in the fourth quarter of 2019 (c-to-c) grew 4.40 percent. From the production side, growth was driven by all business sectors, with the highest growth coming from Wholesale and Retail Trade; Car and Motorcycle Repair was 7.31 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, it was mainly driven by the Government Expenditure Component which grew by 10.69 percent.
  • The economic structure of Jambi Province in the fourth quarter of 2019 was dominated by Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries which gave the largest contribution to the GRDP, amounting to 27.20 percent. Followed by Mining and Quarrying at 17.94 percent. While on the expenditure side, the GRDP is widely used for the Export Component and the Import Component (as a deduction), respectively 74.25 percent and 53.55 percent.
