Abstract

In October 2019 Jambi City experienced inflation of 0.11 percent and Muara Bungo City deflation of 0.18 percent. Jambi City Consumer Price Index (CPI) is 135.98 and Muara Bungo City Consumer Price Index (CPI) is 136.71.
Inflation in Jambi City occurred in 3 (three) groups of goods and services expenditure due to an increase in index, and deflation in Muara Bungo City occurred in 5 (five) groups of goods and services expenditure due to a decrease in index.
The inflation rate for Jambi City calendar1 this month was 1.05 percent, and the year on year inflation rate 2 was 2.19 percent. While the inflation rate in the calendar year of Muara Bungo City this month was 2.92 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" was 3.63 percent
Of the 23 cities in Sumatra that calculate CPI, 10 (ten) cities experience inflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra occurred in Lhokseumawe City by 0.53 percent and the lowest occurred in Pematang Siantar City by 0.01 percent. Of the 82 cities that calculate CPI in Indonesia, 43 (forty-three) cities experience inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Manado City by 1.22 percent and the lowest in Pematang Siantar City, Tual and Ternate each by 0.01 percent.
